Sealed in Faith: A Collaborative Art Project for a Greater Purpose

This special project began with a simple idea—to bring students together through art and faith in a way that would support their school and create a lasting memory. What resulted was more meaningful than we ever imagined.

Each student received a small laser-cut cross, carefully crafted from wood and ready to be transformed with color and imagination. Some painted with bold patterns, others in soft pastels, and every single one was a unique expression of their personality and heart.

Once the crosses were returned, we framed them in a hand-built walnut shadow box. At the center, a larger cross was laser-engraved with the school’s crest—symbolizing the unity of the community and the values it stands for. To preserve the artwork and create a polished, lasting display, we sealed the entire piece in a layer of crystal-clear epoxy.

The result is a stunning art piece filled with spirit, color, and purpose. Not only did it serve as a fundraiser, but it also became a symbol of what makes this school so special—its students, their creativity, and the love they share for their school.

This project was a joy to bring to life, and I’m so proud to have helped turn these small pieces of painted wood into something greater than the sum of their parts.
